It’s November and like most everyone else, I’m thinking about the coming holidays! Unlike most everyone else but maybe like you, I’m also thinking about what I might eat at these upcoming family gatherings. For those of us on special diets or simply trying to stay healthy, holiday meals can be a challenge and downright painful! Maybe your family has heard of being gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and possibly even paleo but try giving them, “gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, and LOW FODMAP”. That’s me! LOW FODMAP is the recommended diet for IBS, Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I’ll explain my personal journey with this later. Anyway, I can eat the turkey, potatoes, vegetables, and simply skip the stuffing and biscuits. That’s easy but what about dessert? Isn’t that the hardest when following a special diet? NO, it isn’t. You can enjoy dessert…just have to make it yourself usually! 😉
